I add it to my coffee or tea, and it tastes much better than Stevia. It also has a much better aftertaste. Not comparable with sugar, but a good alternative, natural, and with no calories. Some warn not to consume too much erythritol to avoid some side effects, but I only use two teaspoons per day and I have been fine.
